make doesn’t find cp, rm or similar commands normally in the path

If make complains about not finding a program normally in the path, such as rm, cp, or any other commands that run normally, the answer may be very simple. Check if you use PATH in your Makefile. If so, try changing all the instances of PATH for MYAPP_PATH and run make again.

Example:
PATH=/opt/apps/avr_gcc
CC=$(PATH)/bin/avr_gcc
#Here, PATH will override the environment variable, so it needs to be renamed.
